For some years now I've kept a loosely organized
Web log that has finally become a major part of
a Web site. It used to be just a tiny part of my
original band's site. People seemed to enjoy it,
so I kept writing. You can browse back issues using
the links over to the right. Ok here is the good
stuff.
I
was born Dec. 19, 1976 in southern Maine and given
the name Randal T. Rioux. It was a snowy morning
in southern Maine at the time. I enjoy short walks
on the beach, politics, music (playing and listening),
programming, reading everything - with an emphasis
on philosophy, science and computer security stuff,
skateboarding, travel, and lots lots more.
On
Sept. 11, 2001 my heart stopped, for one of the
last times. Sept. 13, 2001 I got a pacemaker (neurocardiogenic
syncope). Other than being told (October 2006) that I will be going blind sooner than later, I've been relatively healthy since, thank you very much.
My
career has always been very technology oriented,
and I am currently a Software Security Engineer
in the Washington DC / Baltimore area. For my nerdy side, visit Procyon
Labs.
Soon
enough I'll finish that long promised CD, however
with all that has been going on in my life lately
it has been put on hold for a little while longer.
